gold in the air of summer
last night we were at the esplanade for kings of convenience concert. i am so glad mingyao bought tickets because it is so delightful sitting there in the dark listening to two unpretentious nordic fellas strumming their guitar and singing beautiful songs with honest lyrics and harmonies.
i totally expected erlend to encourage the crowd to come stand up and come to the front after the second half of the concert and he did and he even stepped down the stage and stood on the fourth/fifth row seat amongst the glad crowd who sang along to their more popular melodies and hummed along obediently when the duo got the audience to play some harmonising games.
how beautiful the melodies were. you can listen to them again and again and the words will always be poignant and pretty.
erlend looked aged since two years ago though.
my favourite moment was when eirik left the stage to put on a sweater and erlend sang a solo - thirteen (by big star). brought back memories.
I can't stop listening to the sound
of two soft voices blended in perfection - from 'homesick'
