saturday - rather long - post-its:

_ i bought a relatively newly launched magazine yesterday. fascinating. a bit of a Time magazine + Wallpaper

_ click on 'gallery' after you enter the site. amazingly pretty

_ graham swift's got a new book out! tomorrow. i love how he weaves mundane and history together; a bit of a modern dostoevsky in his mutterings.

_ would you buy balsamic vinegar for $15.00 if it came in a pretty bottle? I nearly wanted to but settled for italian seasoning. going to have a mean salad tonight - portebello mushrooms/honey baked ham/mini romaine hearts/ordinary lettuce/fresh oregano/mixed herbs seasoning/freshly squeezed lemon/carr water table crackers with seseme seeds mixed cracked in/ black pepper - some plain yoghurt and blueberries would be good but i'm too lazy to go to the supermarket again - mentioning that, i wonder when they will bring in browne's black cherry yoghurt because it's the only yoghurt i really desire nowadays besides plain + real fruits - i don't like the idea that there's so much sugar in the other flavoured ones; if i eat those i eat them as desserts not healthy food

_ last night mingyao and i had dinner at the 211 restaurant on the rooftop of holland village shopping centre. i would say the ambiance is laid back but the food is sophisticated and carefully done. my linguine - i would love a fettucine but this was alright too - scampi was absolutely divine - the prawns were large enough and succulent and the olive oil-based sauce was so flavourful i slurpped - nearly if not for graces - like having the wanton mee at lavander. we headed to breko but it was crowded so we settled for tcc cafe where i had an organic fruit tea - the rest had miscellaneous chocolate shakes but i am sort of bored of cream/detoxing from a week of cake - the tea was too sweet then too sour, gah. bland is best for me

_ before dinner i met adeline at starbucks for tea where we chat about school stuff and work stuff and she gave me some advice

_ mingyao got me daims from ikea. yums

_ hui and i watched marie antoinette on youtube this morning - but it was a mere diluted experience considering that some parts didn't load with sound and okay i would have loved to watch it on the big screen. but versailles and the strokes? classic sophia coppola
