oh shock horror and a mild breezy saturday afternoon

yesterday i caught up with brenda after such a long time and we had coffee at the border's coffee bean and tea leaf after lunch at the wisma food court. whilst she ordered her usual americano i decided to go for a cuppachino after recalling the delicious dollops of smooth creamy foam with chocolate powder at dome cafe but was a tad disappointed to uncap my cup to see a bubble-bath like textured foam. never mind, i grimaced and went to the counter to shake in some chocolate powder and then brenda ordered a cheesecake and we had a sweet afternoon having comfortable conversation.

but it is scary because i just saw the timetable for next semester. is it only four months till submission? okay i had better work my butt off this holidays and be rory-minded. holding my breath till they tell it to me. oh God please help me so. okay rather, please make sure i work my hardest and not go around in circles.

tonight i'm meeting sharon for cheap dinner at chomp chomp because i need to save money for christmas presents and so we're doing hawker dinner and teh after. yay for casual weekends in kampung suburbia - such misuse and misappropriation of terms - but never mind let's not be prissy about it.

gilmore update: okay i don't hate chris anymore but i do feel a bit sorry for luke now he seems so alone. that said, i really like to see the way rory holds her own at the yale newsroom and her dressing is sometimes quite preppy-chic.
