a wedding, a wedding

and you pick me up from downstairs in a dusty-brown tailored shirt and mother-of-pearl cuff links looking all dandy and later we hold hands and enter the foyer looking out onto dark skies and city lights through chiffon curtains, pass the ice sculpture, pass the important-looking people, pass the thick pillars and we greet the beautiful bride in her elegant vera wang -pattern, yuling says - dress with a red bow at the waist - at the church it was a chocolate brown ribbon - with subtle pearlised patterns at the end of the train - an elegant bride makes an elegant wedding all posh and chi-chi without the pomp. liling looks gorgeous in her second dress - a lime - but not neon - green bead and lace low-back gown with a train and simple orchids in her hair - so queen-like and the food is good - the choy is happy - and i can't stop looking at the bride and thinking, this is wonderful, this is beautiful, this is elegant and the choy is holding my hand and the choy gives me a kiss and i try to smile at him without showing my braces - ha. i feel a bit sad because the chiffon of my beige and brown - and cheap - dress feels cheap to me - but later i think it's okay my shoes are golden and my mother's shiny vintage black bead bag is cute and the choy looks good - ha - the table gifts are the prettiest i have ever seen at a wedding, which is a golden keychain with a bright ruby red heart and the other is a curvy silver letter opener with a dangling silver butterfly at the tip and there were white roses at the table and stage and entertaining and beautiful guests at the next table to look at and admire and it all ends with dessert that is nuo-mi with balls of vanilla ice-cream - imagine this mix! - and s.k. looking all glamourous, shrieking, i think i might have lost my ring! and scouting the ballroom floor.
