"we are the the romantics, are we not?"







i just received mail from da jie in albany and such wonderful sisterly mail. il mare is one of the movies we love and keep watching and going awww over and it's a movie that makes you laugh and cry and experience a whole range of emotions - regret and longing and hope and fear and loss and admiration and empathy - that makes you perhaps, lie on your bed for the next hour thinking and feeling. and to receive a nice set of postcards with lovely words written by a lovely eldest sister to a younger sister, words that can only be conjured on a snail mail across oceans that warms the receipient's heart a whole whole lot. everytime i am encouraged and my heart is pinched with the awesome gratitude that God made us sisters and i'm taping this map and postcards to my wall for motivation to save up to visit my sister one day.
