sushi tei in city hall updated their menu. we had: pork tonkatsu ramen/ griled scallops with lemon sauce/ salmon sashimi/ ika sushi/ etc. etc. on the menu are new items like broiled sushi, new don and noodle dishes and items with yam and they have a new separate dessert menu but we didn't try those.

ice cream at the fountain. haagan daaz sticks from jason's supermarket in macademia brittle and almond vanilla. i love sushi tei - the standard of food is always good and the decor makes the atmosphere divine. i've stopped eating sakae sushi. you can tell there's not much care taken into presentation/detail/standard, like how their ika is shoddily slapped onto the rice that breaks up often and the piece is too big and too chewy, not tender at all.

but haagan daaz is always good. you can taste the quality in the chocolate and the texture of the cream. i prefer takeaway cones because the portions in the sundaes when eating in are incredulously small. the service at the holland village outlet is really good. my brother and i bought a cone and sat outside and even though we're not paying service charge, etc. the waitress came outside to give us a glass of water and some serviattes each. wow i've eaten haagan daaz three times in the last two weeks.

stress.

tomorrow: deadline and run 8-10km
