i think, the 'eternal sunshine of a spotless mind' machine, would have been appropriate to erase whatever memories that kept her going back to him. i mean, in the movie the situations kinda repeat and the characters fall in love again, but i'd keep this one from happening, fiercely so. and we'd be happy friends with the occassional tete-a-tete that we used to have. i admit, i didn't look in the deathbox the two times, so i only picture her smiliing in my photo-albums. maybe i don't need closure because the escapist in me would rather deal with a death in my own way - dreamscapes and makebelive - they work best for me.
