whoozy/starry/ a narrative
i'm a little under the weather this weekend...friends that meet once a year convened at my home on friday evening for a very late night wine and conversation mix - and some baked fries handled by husband in the kitchen. a late night snack meant taking a drive to buy some prata from kembangan and back home again, dipping prata in sugar and curry - always a good late night snack. then it was nearly 3 am.
in the morning we had fish soup and went again to one of our favourite shops - strangelets near amoy street...there's always something we want there everytime we go...they've brought in tse & tse's lovely gold plated cups and porcelain lamps - something to dream about. sleeping in the afternoon, and reading a bit of my book/some apartamento ( i like a magazine/ book you can leave and come back to after a hiatus) while blow-drying my hair, while waiting for the meats to bake in the oven while husband is away for band practice. i like when he comes home with his trumpet case - like he went on a mission. a musical mission. i am glad he is continuing with his artistic endeavours...i should with mine too.
and it's sunday again. a little feverish and flu-y, i ate grapes, nectarines, spanish melon and had coconut juice from a coconut today...much vitamin c needed...much sleep needed. the washing machine rings and we're transfering the clothes up to the tumble dryer then it's goodnight world. monday beckons and we must look bright. forgive ourselves for the thousand things not done and start afresh.
and husband i love you A. LOT.
