last week we had dinner at holland village before bible class and we saw a new ramen shop in holland v opposite the japanese bakery. the decor was very nice and jap-like, and i like they had sesame seeds to put into the ramen - but i won't go there again. the ramen's definately not up to par even to the north canel restaurant or marutama.

yesterday we had our first couple house guests over for dinner - yvette and shiva brought over a bottle of wine for us. tht was sweet. we prepared chinese food - mingyao boiled lotus soup and roasted chicken and i stir fried broccali with slice fish and scallops with mushroom and capsicum in lemon sauce.
dinner was really fun and we talked about bailey's and ice cream so i decided to scoop some vanilla ice cream with some bailey's for each of us topped with a macaroon that i had bought from cadele earlier in the day. actually yvette i bought a lemon meringue tart for each of us but they were smashed up in the box when i brought them home so they were too undeserving to be served :p
this time the flower theme was yellow roses, these purple somethings and green something else. in the morning the strong light in the kitchen was good and strong so i put all the vases together and let them have some sunning. i like the roses when they're so bloomed. i gave yvette a hineken bottle of 2 yellow roses to bring home - share the joy!
i first gave yellow flowers a try when i was buying flowers for my prewedding photography shoot and i'm glad i added some to my wedding for the bridesmaids. they add a spark to my grey and blue theme.
