this afternoon mingyao made his peach vodka smoothie. next one to try is oreo milkshake.
happy birthday in three months!

muahaha. today we ordered by birthday present! i chose my own present in advance. mingyao got me the eames wire base table but it's only coming in three months cos we had to indent - i guess i'll feel like i have an extended birthday in august, cool - the showroom piece had a little mark beneath.
i find housework rather fun, and therapeutic, only if one has the time to slowly indulge. mingyao just tested his philips blender to make a starfruit and green apple smoothie - too sour for me! i'm looking foward to the peach vodka smoothie.

'fist of zen' on cable mtv is hilarious. i need to find my other stack of monocle. where art thou.

goodnight.

we finally bought a transformer from best denki so that we could use the toaster we bought from tokyo. amadana! even the transformer is jappy cute.

last night we rented some dvds and watched Letters From Iwo Jima. we had dinner at the coffee shop next to denise the wine shop and mingyao met his friend from jc. we took a walk to siglap's cold storage as well. i like walking at siglap. this morning mingyao took his car for servicing and came back to make be breakfast - egg, sausagge, bacon and bread toast with jam and butter. milk. orange. we checked out uniqlo at tampines mall - this season's nothing very special. we ate at that mache-like japanese cluster of eateries - i would say it's not bad but it's not a place that will entice me back again. they hurried with our pork yakisoba so the noodles were a little hard and they didn't put jap mayonnaise. the best one is still the one we had at ginza. we're definately going to make a trip back to tokyo for that!

masak masak

in the study - my muji stapler.

in the kitchen.
some midweek quotes from quotegarden:

Chase down your passion like it's the last bus of the night. ~Glade Byron Addams

Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. ~Harold Whitman

Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. ~William James

some from one of my fav, Rilke:

Believe that with your feelings and your work you are taking part in the greatest; the more strongly you cultivate this belief, the more will reality and the world go forth from it.

If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches; for the Creator, there is no poverty.

That is the principal thing: not to remain with the dream, with the intention, with the being in the mood, but always forcibly to convert it into all things.

One had to take some action against fear when once it laid hold of one.

honeymooning

cha-am was nice. shall post more pics later. this week we've been walking out and eating around the east which is nice and we bought two wooden stools at a teak furniture shop nearby and carried it home. today we bought some stuff for the kitchen sink area and an ironing board. this weekend we will get our machines and we can finally wash clothes instead of using the laundromat at parkway like we did last week.

sunday!

i wish we had more non working days to chill. we have been so busy buying household items since we returned from thailand. thailand was fun. and so was buying all the stuff yesterday, choosing knives, v cleaners, etc. etc., only tiring. and today we drove all my stuff from my home to this home...i have so many things. i'll need another week to unpack everything in my study. mingyao the love set up my computer in my study. i went for my first east run just now when mingyao was setting up my computer - not bad there are many places to explore. raymong and siew helped us move things and we bought them ice creams from the petrol station. we went to adeline's wedding at marina mandarin just now and after that we went to have carl's junior drive in. :)

we've upgraded to the pool villa today - it's alot bigger and we're gonna use the pool only later because it's freakin hot outside now. the tv has got more movies and music here compared to the duluxe suite so we've watched one movie just now and we went for our massage - by the way the spa centre is beautiful. the spaces in the spa is exquisite. we're now watching transformers. we went to the bar for free high tea and it was cool they served nice snacks, salami and toast, macaroons and creme brulee and pineapple juice and tea and coffee - too bad we missed out the last two days but anyhows we're stuffed and we just had some japanese snacks mingyao brought from isetan at shaw.

holiday!

the alila cha am is amazing i love all the details. they've lent us bikes and we're gonna explore around now before we go hang at the pool!

the food here is great too it's not super pricy. good quality food for similar prices at ps cafe, cafe cartel etc that kinda price. the sun's out and it's not crowded here.

there's an apple tv here loaded with songs and some movies. the songs are a good selection as well.

it's quite surreal that the wedding's over and we're now at our honeymoon. seems like a long time ago that i was so busy preparing for the wedding, printing church programs and buying flowers for the flower girls etc. we're glad that everybody loved the food at the hotel. the standard was great and that's something nice about a wedding dinner.

this stage is pretty chill :)

hello

i am now married :) and we are at the alila cha-am in thailand which is a fabulously chic hotel. the decor and detail is wonderful.

we got married on saturday at the church i grew up in, by pastor alvin who's such a nice friend and relaxed pastor. we had fun and our friends who helped out were wonderful and so organised. marriage prep is stressful but married day is fun! it went by so fast i didn't get to really talk to many people. now we have those lovely tiffany gold classic bands with the milligram detail on our fingers and we love being on holiday. wish this could last longer! but i'm grateful for it anyway.

my love was so sweet on monday he went downstairs to isetan and got me some japanese candies from the supermarket which he hid in the car locker for a surprise.

i will miss my beautiful white gown - so much thought and work went into it the past months; it was the perfect gown and margaret gave it the best details that work for me including the lace design and the ribbon at the bustier, the small flowers at the veil and the buttons down the back of the dress that i love. i'm so glad we immortalised it a bit more at the prewedding shoot cos i wont get to wear it anymore.

i love m.y.
