camping muji style is going to be awesome.
on friday mingyao took me out for dinner - just some quiet time alone for the two of us without talking about the house - japanese grill at robertson quay (we had lamb, pork cheek, wagyu beef, scallops, portobello mushrooms and kimchi soup and asahi beers) - cooked upon charcoal. we love grill. i contemplate visions in my mind of the two of us in our mini balcony having korean bbq matched with japanese rice cooked in the Zojirushi Rice Cooker under the light of a dynamo muji lamp Dynamo Lantern* sitting on white muji stools with some music in the background - what music goes with a bbq?
*woah...read the online description. i'm sold: This product is powered by dynamo, so there is no need for batteries. With x4 super bright LEDs. Built-in long life rechargeable batteries with foldaway generator handle to recharge batteries. Handle also useful for carrying and hanging. Just wind for one minute and this will give you up to 30 minutes of power. Its ideal and very handy for home, garden or camping+ + +
mingyao won tickets to a sun festival event: The UBS Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra with Gabor Takacs-Nagy & Frederica von Stade, which he originally wanted to go watch but was afraid it'd clash with my kl trip, but i'm not going kl next thursday and he won the tickets in the lucky draw so that's something to look foward to. date night.

some of my favourite current designers are john pawson, christian liaigre and Atelier Tekoto. i love the natural feel of materials. slate, bronze, rough concrete, weathered wood - all juxtaposed with luxe fabrics, modern glass and white walls.
