hate hate hate
i just spent three hours doing some drawings that would have relieved me of some of the stress of monday morning because this is going to be such a hectic week and before i could save it, cad jammed.
excuse me while i go cry my eyes out on a monday morning.
after a day of calming down and rationalising. it's after all yet again, another case of NOT SAVING EVERY FIVE_TEN MINUTES! my very human fault.

pete yorn, folks.
i am now going to run to the other end of the world. back in an hour.

saturday don't go.
today i met bren for lunch at sushi tei at thomson plaza. it's always nice to be around the thomson area when we meet up - there's just that special feeling of familiarity cos we grew up there, and it's a good reason for me to hang out in the area i seldom go to now. i think the last time we met was a while away so we had a good time of catching up conversation and coffee after. i'm really paranoid about my poor sun sensitive nose, my hand reaches out to shield my nose from the sun whenever i step into the glare. anyways i am so excited that brenda is getting married and i love to hear about the updates of the planning. i met mingyao in town. i bought a pete yorn cd, elle deco and belle magazine from borders (from my birthday borders gift card!) august issue (wha..you say? august alraaady?) yeaps fellas soon it will be christmas. bring it on! we walked about town looking at things and then we went to catch our movie
- 21- at cineleisure (sardine packed with young fellas waiting for the lift, in the lift - that place is a teen hang out and i feel claustrophobic and irritable with them young fellas) where kate b. and jim s. looked great in the show - it was just fun. i like college shows. they make me think about college in an 'emo' way ya know. all that school life and writing essays and stuff. i wore mingyao's sweater in the cinema. anyways we had a quick dinner and walked around a bit before we headed to chris's party in the oxley area just for a while and we hung around the quiet pool just sitting on the deck chairs talking. just you and i. the coolest guy in the universe.

lotsastuff.
last weekend i rearranged the furniture in my room a bit and sort out my stuff. anyone who says i am not a magazine addict should really come and take a look. i decided to sort my magazines out and vogue wins hands down. vogue in the upper shelf, vogue in the lower shelf and i thought that was it. then i looked at the lower shelf and there was more vogue. and more vogue in the movable unit. and i recall, there's a box of vogue in the storeroom! but finally my magazines have decent space to look pretty and i decided to elevate my novels to the top shelf, because they're much lighter than the magazines.

woah. the most exhausting trip to kl ever. slept two hours the night before rushing out presentations and then running all over kl to source for furniture on wednesday before non-stop back to back meetings on thursday. today everybody was in spectacles because we were so brainzapped. i got a very beautiful clock for mingyao from gudang at bangsar shopping centre though - a gold lexon clock by theo williams. i checked out the website after i got back. cool stuff.
there was this amazing push-out (like a phone) calculator in a gold case with beautiful 'fonts'.
anyway at muji you can get a sleek portable bbq set. very chio.

deathcab for cutie's new album's third song 'no sunlight' sounds a little like 'the shins'!. slightly, not as edgy as 'the shins'. if the latter came to singapore i'd definately wanna catch them.
last saturday my second sister/roommate for twenty seven years got married. she looked so nice in her gown and make up and it was nice to see her so happy. she was fetched from my grandparents' home a few minutes away from ours, and if i didn't see wrongly i saw my grandmother tear the way she did when ee jie left for the states to study, because this is the first marriage of any of her grandchildren. there's this kampung feel about my grandmother's home even though it's not literally like that - the mosaic floors, metal laced lamps, the gardens outside. i think i walked too fast down the aisle in church, i was too anxious about walking too slow! it's so beautiful to get married in the sanctuary because i grew up there and it's a church with beautiful light and a long aisle. ee jie was the host and my younger sister played the piano after touching down the night before from melboune. a pity my brother was confined in army - they didn't let him out. if only he went in a week later. i shall shower him with lots of goodies when i visit him in the ocs camp this sunday, the sweet boy, and write him a letter - haven't replied to the weekly letters that he started writing a few weeks ago to his siblings.
the day before i was rushing out a model and dashing twenty four seven to purchase flowers ( so risky, white roses! they didn't have the big china ones, so i bought the more expensive ones from ecuador, because the ones from vietnam are so small) and squeezing in a manicure and pedicure with my sisters and mom nearby at holland village where i fell alseep because i went late because i was preparing the flowers for raymond to pick up and my siblings went back to the salon. i don't know why my cuticles dry up so badly after a manicure. it always happens! we had dinner with cousin david from new york and uncle kee from thailand.
it was the first time other than chinese new year where all my relatives were all gathered at one place at the restaurant. my parents looked like they had fun mingling amongst friends and relatives. siew jie has moved out of the house and this weekend i'm gonna have to reorganise my room. more wardrobe and book space! i think mingyao fell asleep. he's on skype but he's not replying. i had lunch with him today at circular road. more like he had lunch with friends already but he came to have a drink with me while i ate.
this weekend is sleep weekend. hui is back but i have to go kl on wed and thurs and fri she leaves. grrr. i will have to date her on monday or tuesday. hui! let's go shopping on tuesday!
