we were trying to spend of the remainder of our money at the airport and after wandering around for one and a half hours mingyao finally bought the dior bracelet for me and a mont blanc card holder for himself and we raced to gate 18 fifteen minutes before the scheduled time for take off - like an episode of amazing race, mingyao says. it's my first girly girly bracelet and i really like the birdie on it. besides that i bought stuff i could have bought back home, but duty free - tons of skincare products and my clinque happy refill at the airport.
plus a massimo dutti top, a top and blue jeans from uniqlo, boxes of lao po bing (the ultimate pilgrimage-to-hk-food) and almond cookies for the family and collegues. and of course the ivy album.
in hong kong we just gravitated back to the malls for shopping. the small streets are cool to walk by, to savour the sights and atmospheres but after being through so many pasar malam-type places you don't really wanna spend money on pirated clothing and keychain type souvinairs.
